ATDW Studio Theater Rehearsal Guidelines 


Be on time: “Early is on time, on time is late” 

Be prepared: Dressed appropriately Warmed up and ready to go 

Possess a positive attitude Be Coachable and Adaptable - things WILL CHANGE, learn to roll with it. 

Have a refillable water bottle to HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE! 

Know your lines 

Don’t be difficult 

Be supportive of other performers process 

Make sure you are sleeping well and caring for your body before/during rehearsals. 

Review your material prior to rehearsal Ask questions - there are no stupid questions 

Have a notebook and pencil to record: 

  • Directors Notes 

  • Choreography Notes 

  • Vocal notes 

  • Questions for the Creative Team 

  • Character Notes 

  • Rehearsal Notes 

  • Blocking Notes 

Take care of your rehearsal materials 

Take care of the ATDW Studio Theater and Facility 

DO NOT GOSSIP - DO NOT BE JUDGMENTAL 

Be Kind and Courteous to all members of the production team and cast 

ALLOW THE CREATIVE TEAM TO GIVE NOTES - ONLY 

Have a personal recording device to record and review vocal lines outside of rehearsal. 

MAKE SURE YOU REPORT ANY REHEARSAL CONFLICTS to the Creative Team in writing or via email at the Start of Rehearsals and as they occur. NO TEXTS. 

DO NOT BE ON YOUR PHONE
NO TALKING TO OTHERS DURING REHEARSAL - especially whewhile Creative Team is talking.

  • BE ONTIME

  • BE PREPARED 

  • BE WARMED UP and HYDRATED 

  • HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE 

  • SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW PERFORMERS 

  • BE READY TO ADAPT 

  • STAY OPEN AND ENERGIZED 

  • Get Plenty of Sleep before a performance 

  • Do Not Enter the Lobby in Costume after the half-hour call. 

  • Give 100% at all times 

  • Stay Focused backstage and onstage
