WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

Eight Important Facts That Make

The American Theater Dance Workshop Environment So Unique.

• Quality Curriculum

Ballet - Broadway Theater Dance - Musical Theater - Tap - Lyrical - Acting and Voice Classes focus on technique, not rehearsals for a recital or competition. We are not a competition school. We are a Conservatory. We focus on each individual student's goals and progress and give students the tools to be successful onstage or in front of a camera, in the classroom, or the boardroom, someday. We will help your child prepare for High School, College and professional auditions - because we've got real-world experience to share and the know how to prepare them properly. It's about what they need and we provide ongoing feedback and evaluations to help them get there.

• Live Musical Accompaniment

One of the rare studios which offers piano accompaniment for most classes.

• Professional Staff

Our artistic staff consists of instructors with years of both teaching and performing experience. Students do not teach classes.

• Studio Space

Since 2009, they have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, UBS Arena and repeatedly at both the Tilles Center and the KnP Theater at Peridance in NYC. Our Theater Dance Company works directly with our Artistic Directors and Broadway Veterans Michelle and Jerome Vivona and the company is instructed by visiting Guest Artists from the Broadway community, in varied length residencies all year long.

• ATDW Theater Dance Jr. Company - Coming fall 2023

🎉 The wait is over! We're thrilled to announce the ATDW Jr. Company, a program specifically designed for our junior age dancers! This initiative brings together our senior company dancers, Michelle, and I to nurture young talent like never before.

• End Of Year Showcase Performance

American Theater Dance Workshop features a professionally staged and lit performance onstage featuring coordinated studio attire, limited costumes, and props. This performance celebrates the hard work, dedication and commitment each of the students has made to themselves throughout the school year. Unlike many studios, ATDW doesn't begin working on these numbers until the end of winter and the beginning of Spring after all technical curriculum has been delivered. Performance dates are usually scheduled in Late May or in early June.
