CASSANDRA PHIFER was an original member and principal dancer of the Dance Theatre of Harlem where she received critical acclaim in Valerie Bettis’ Streetcar Named Desire, Agnes DeMille’s Fall River Legend as well as George Balanchine’s Serenade and Four Temperments. She was also the ballet mistress of the Company. Cassandra has taught at Marymount Manhattan College, Ballet Hispanico, Sarah Lawrence College, New York University, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and numerous master classes and workshops nationally and internationally. She is currently on the faculty of LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts.
